A system for tuning image and sound, presented through a unique vintage receiver in each generated artwork. The receiver functions as a direct analogy to the human being.
Each piece begins in distortion: fragmented lines and dissonant sound, like a receiver with poor reception. The system is complete, but not properly tuned.
This reflects the human condition: not chaos, but misalignment. The inner structure is already coherent; harmony emerges through attunement.
All visual and sonic properties are hash-dependent: the form and color of the receiver, the number and structure of screen segments, the behavior of lines, and the generated sound.
Through interaction, the viewer adjusts the system - transforming noise into structure and dissonance into harmony.
The system can be stabilized gradually, through precise tuning, or instantly - by tapping the receiver. These two modes suggest continuous effort and sudden realization.
When alignment is achieved, the system generates a final, static PNG of the fully harmonized state.
Interactivity
• Segment knobs (rotate)
Rotate each knob to transform its color-coded screen segment from noise into clear, defined lines.
• Brightness (middle slider, drag)
Adjust screen brightness from darkest (left) to brightest (right).
• Sound (sliders, drag)
Top slider controls volume; bottom slider controls pitch.
• Left antenna (drag)
Moves the image horizontally.
• Right antenna (drag)
Moves the image vertically, reordering segments without changing their controls.
• Tap (press T - or double tap the screen for mobile devices)
Instantly auto-tunes the system, harmonizes image and sound, and generates the final PNG.
