“deck:decks” overlays the ideas of a card, a DJ deck, and a log that is constantly updating on top of the music. Sound, light, and text all revolve around a hash-based identity, slowly accumulating their own little history inside a single generative card.

Each mint establishes a set of immutable characteristics determined entirely by its hash:

the card’s unique user_id

the initial drum and melody patterns

the layout and spacing of the dot grid beneath the action log

and whether the token becomes a rare card or not

These elements form the permanent “DNA” of the card.

At the same time, the artwork contains components that continue to evolve only while it is running:

drum steps randomly toggle on and off

melody notes shift, appear, or fall into rests

the action log updates as the pattern mutates

stage lights react dynamically to the beat

Thus, even with a fixed identity,
each token remains alive — continuously changing, never repeating the same moment twice.
