Visualization of Osamu Dazai's "No Longer Human"
This artwork is a visualization generated from numerical data extracted from Osamu Dazai's literary masterpiece, No Longer Human, using a proprietary analytical engine (BiblioEngine).
While the fluctuations in AI-driven analysis—often referred to as "hallucinations"—have traditionally been avoided, I have identified a profound structural similarity between these variances and the inherent subjectivity of the human reading experience. I have quantified these interpretive fluctuations as "Ghosts."
Uniquely, No Longer Human yields exceptionally low Ghost values across all parameters. When the AI parsed Dazai's prose, it found no room for alternative interpretation — no hesitation, no deviation. Where other works leave traces of ambiguity, this novel offered none.
This absence is not a flaw in the data. It is the data. The compression of interpretive possibility into near-zero is, itself, a quantitative portrait of a despair so total that even an artificial mind could find no way out.
